Cinnamate Phosphonic Acid as Monomolecular Alignment Layer

Description:

In this work we show new monomolecular photo-alignment layer material based on cinnamate core with fast dip-washing deposition process. Advantages of such materials are low temperature deposition process, no rubbing and baking procedures . Irradiation by linear polarized light for short time provide stable planar alignment with good value of VHR and RDC. Such derivatives open new opportunity to achieve monomolecular alignment layer with intermediate pretilt angle.
