We here present a comparative analysis of early ESHFLC materials and our newly developed variants, with our material having a response time of 17 ?s, a very low temperature dependence of 3o and a wide range of operating SmC range (from -10 oC to 65 oC). The findings underscore the potential of ESHFLCs in advancing display and photonic applications while addressing challenges related to material optimization for commercialization.
