Dr. Tom Chen earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Stony Brook University in 2020, focusing on optical probing of condensed matter systems in nanoscale. He then conducted postdoctoral research at Stony Brook University and Columbia University. After transitioning to industry, he primarily worked in the EM simulation space. He started as a developer at COMSOL Inc, developing EM modules of the software. In 2022, he joined Flexcompute and currently serves as a Senior Photonics Engineer at Flexcompute, where he leads the photonics application engineering team.
